They gave me another number to call, eventually they found the booking and said ‘the man is coming’. This turned out to be a maintenance man who was very unwell (flu I presume). "Loved it. Would consider staying again. Nice touches in room, small fridge with complementary milk, soft drinks and water, as well as the usual teas and coffee. Nice bathroom. Location at the top near the post office. And free parking was a good bonus in an area where parking spaces are few."

"Lovely clean and neatly compact cottage, hidden away in an ideal location for Whitby town and harbour/beach amenities. Communication with the owner was top class and prompt replies, nothingvwas too much trouble. My family had a very relaxing time at the property, my 3 teenage boys would definately return again with us. Lovely sunny weather too made morning coffee on the front a great start to our daily adventures. Paul & Alison. "

No internet throughout stay, only able to use one bathroom as water scorching due to fault in 2nd bathroom, could not use TV, the only shower that did work then flooded through the floor below and through light fittings in kitchen, poorly cleaned before our arrival see pics "
