We have a seasonal camp in the area and always like to make a winter time trip to the area to check in on it. We love Hallowell, so this seemed like a good option for a long weekend. We loved it! "Convenient off Rt. 1. Stayed here before heading to ferry terminal in Rockland for early start to Vinalhaven. Walkable distance over the river back to Wiscasett for dinner. Walls and floors seem "thin" or not heavily insulated - lots of noise from upstairs and next door at various points in the evening."

"Enjoyed a quick weekend getaway on the lake in Newcastle. It was a great place to rest and watch the changing season with beautiful islands and fishing all close to town for oysters, a river cruise, and a nearby brewery. Appreciate that you are dog-friendly as well!"

"The house was spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. The view in the back yard good with the river behind the house. We had Christmas Dinner there and everyone fit at the table and lots of room in the kitchen. I loved where the house was located. "
