Maine Attraction
The owners were super friendly and did the best job of communicating with me of any of my past VRBOs and I have had good ones. The house, grounds and views wowed me, a great get away, yet close to many of the things I love about Maine. I want to come back and bring my kids.

October at Graywoods
This was our fourth annual autumn trip to Graywoods. Such a wonderful home and location. Highlights included hiking at Bradbury Mountain, Morse Mountain and Popham. The eagles outdid themselves this year, always a wonder to watch. We have already reserved for next year!

Retired Nurses--"girls get-away"
Lovely rental..we have done a yearly trip for several years now and this "home" was one of the best. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms to meet our needs. A well equipped kitchen with the added perks of an ice machine and a wine cooler was quite a surprise. Judy and Hugh were very attentive and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. We just may do a repeat of this location.

The views were amazing. The eagles are the key to this place though. Once in a lifetime opportunity to sit in a hot tub and watch eagles fly in and out. Hard to beat!!

Graywoods in May
This was our second visit to Graywoods and it was again wonderful. We enjoyed watching the family of eagles in their nest. Trips to Reid and Popham, a boat tour up the Kennebec, and evening fires were favorite memories. We have booked again for October. Many thanks to Judy and Hugh for sharing this lovely home.

What an amazing find. We will be back!
Our expectations were exceeded when we stayed at Judy's beautiful home in Woolwich, Maine. Just over the bridge from Bath, this comfortable, bright and warm New England family home was perfect for our family getaway. We arrived in a snow storm, and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was magical! Plenty of room and comfortable beds for our stay. Can't wait to visit again!

A very welcoming, homey vacation destination! Breathtaking views! A fabulous well stocked home.
We had four generations of family at this incredible property! Plenty of room for everyone... Perhaps my favorite part of our experience, besides cooking in the well equipped gourmet kitchen, was the whole family being able to sit at the enormous farm table in the dining area! Great house! Beautiful setting and landscape... Hope to come back again! JD

Perfect for a family reunion
Our family came from CA, NH, and VA to share time together. Graywoods was the perfect place with a beautiful setting and all the comforts of home. We especially enjoyed the openness and windows overlooking the river and watching the nesting eagles. There was plenty of room and everything we needed. Whether exploring the area or just enjoying being there together it was perfect. And Judy was a fabulous help with restaurant and other recommendations. Thank you, Judy and Hugh.

Just the right amount of relaxation and activities
The home was exactly what we were looking for. Relaxing, cozy and fun. Very secluded yet close to a lot of amentities and restaurants. We went in early October and were able to enjoy the kayaks and hot tubs. We cooked most nights but went to dinner at Taste of Maine the last evening. We also did some hiking which was about 25 minutes away. The house was comfortable. Plenty of space and comfy beds. The hosts were amazing. Responsive and inviting. Absolutely loved it and would stay here again!!

Another great visit to Greywoods!
We had a lovely stay at Judy's home in November. It was even better than we remembered it! The eagles nest was so close to the house that we did not even need the binoculars. We spent lots of time enjoying the hot tub and big deck overlooking the water. The wood burning fireplace kept us all cozy and warm. We especially enjoyed the big dining room table where we had Thanksgiving dinner and played games. As for activities close by, we spent each day hiking and sight seeing. I highly recommend staying at this beautiful Maine home.

Spring sibling reunion
What a wonderful spot! House is charming, and accommodating, and the eagles were a constant source of fascination! Judy was very responsive to our needs and caretaker super friendly and efficient. House was stocked with plenty of towels, dishware, and lots of pottery, making us seek out buying our own at Georgetown Pottery! Muddy march, snow melt, but with a fire going, good wine, eagles flying in and out and family, it was a perfect weekend!

A great stay
I have stayed at Graywoods twice and it has been wonderful both times. It is a very comfortable house that can manage a group to stay over, have meals, watch the eagles nesting on the river through the big windows in the great room and use the fireplace at night. The well equipped kitchen is fun to cook in and there are many restaurant options in the area. If you are lucky enough to be there during a full moon it is spectacular! The house is located in a beautiful part of coastal Maine - lots to explore even in the winter. The caretaker lives next door and is there if you need him. I will be back!

Wonderful Stay
This is a great house in a beautiful, quiet, private location. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out and the house is very well equip for anything you might need during your stay. We loved looking at all the interesting art work and memories throughout the house as well as watching the eagles and other wildlife outside. Judy was a fantastic host and her communication was great - she made sure we had everything we needed and provided a lot of details to help us plan our trip. We visited a lot of the surrounding area including Bath, Camden, Rockland, Thomaston, Popham Beach...all of which were easy drives from this location. I would definitely recommend if you have the opportunity to stay here you take it and hope to visit again some day.

The house is perfect.
This is a great house for a family vacation. There is a large dinning room/kitchen and living room area to hang out together. It is very welcoming and you can tell from the decorations and furniture that the house is full of many great memories. You overlook the Back River, so it is surprisingly quiet and secluded. You are in close proximity both Ried State Park and Popham Beach - two of probably the most beautiful beaches in Maine. We were there for Christmas and spent most of our time by the fire doing a jigsaw puzzle. The hoste was very thoughtful. Highly recommend.

Wonderful property with beautiful scenic view
All of our questions were answered promptly by these home owners. We had a great reunion of 6 friends here. We had our coffee watching beautiful sunrises over the river and eagles fly. This is a well stocked kitchen in which you could prepare a meal together. Wonderful porches and comfortable family area to enjoy a glass of wine together. There were a myriad of great restaurants and fun diners to explore and lobster everywhere. We visited lighthouses, took a ride into Bar Harbor to walk along a rocky coast, a shopping trip to LLBean and had an interesting day at the Bath Museum. This is a wonderful area with lots to do.
