"This hotel (if you’re from the US, it’s more a motel than a hotel) was a good option near MSM. For the two days we were there, it was a perfect balance of price and quality. It’s on the tram line to the island, but far enough away to offer food options and shopping. Pay attention to your email if you’re staying there. The parking is very hotel convenient, but the process to get to the hotel (and your parking) is complicated, and will be wmailed to you. "

"We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Le Lion d'Or. Excellent location for visiting the DDay memorials ,and seeing the sights in Bayeux. Great restaurants and shopping within a short walk. In the evening after our excursions, it was so nice to come back to the hotel where there was a warm fire in the bar and comfortable seating to relax a bit. "Get the river view even off season which we did. You can open your window and hear the soothing sounds. The room was well appointed, modern and clean. The on-site restaurant was pretty good too considering the front desk staff do double duty to cook as well. Service was top notch. Also the surrounding quiet and charming town has street vendors who setup shop for the locals but they spoken English too. It’s nice to be able to see a town that’s not a bunch of souvenir shops every block. ...
