"Loved it. Stunning views. Excellent room with view of Mont St Michel. Bus stops very close but was also an easy walk. Family room was spacious with separate sleeping areas and two bathrooms. Currently undergoing renovations but no disturbance. Would stay here again for sure."

"There is no lift, the hotel checkin is one flight up a winding staircase. Our room was up another level with another winding staircase. The room was comfortable the decor is old world. The bathroom shower was in a tub that was not easy to climb into could be considered hazardous. It was nice to stay on the island and enjoy the peacefulness at night."

"Even though it’s on the main drag, it’s very quiet and cozy. It’s within walking distance of at least 20 small restaurants. Wonderful hosts! Delicious breakfast! It’s hard to realize that about 80 years ago, tanks landing at Normandy rolled along these same streets. "

"Absolutely spacious, comfortable, and convenient lodging with 3 separate bedrooms with on-suite full baths in the heart of beautiful and quaint Bayeux. What more could you ask for? Accommodations were above and beyond expectations as was the multitude of restaurants, bars, and shops within walking distance, not to mention the gorgeous cathedral and the fascinating tapestry museum. "The smallest 5-star hotel in Europe! My friend and I checked in during the off-season for one night. The staff was so friendly and accommodating! The owner gave us personalized attention and was very helpful. The location is convenient to Mont Saint Michel: just a five-minute drive to the parking lot to catch the shuttle bus. Highly recommend this hotel if you want to treat yourself."

"Stayed here during the 75th anniversary of d-day. On arrival didn't know how to check in but was not a problem as owner lives next door. Great location to easily get to other places. Resident chickens in the garden made our stay welcoming and interesting. One day owner left us fresh eggs and on the last night of our stay left us a bottle of wine and biscuits. Would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back."

"We really like this gite. Peaceful location, perfect for relaxation and local area is pretty with lots of nice villages and scenic drives. The weather is unpredictable, so an upgrade to the indoor seating would be nice for more comfort on rainy days. Overall, it's great!"

The potter entrusts you with his country home

Hidden Gem!

"What a wonderful place! We are a family of four and were worried that our two boys would run out of things to do but they loved it! The garden is big enough to explore, play football, badminton and get lost in. The swing and outdoor shower were an added bonus. The house is perfectly located 1hr from Caen, 20 minutes from Vire and an easy drive to the D day beaches. There is a beautiful lake near by which has pedalos and canoes for hire and for adrenaline junkies there is the Normandie Luge and Aqueduct nr by where you can bungie or fly through the air on a 2km zip line trail. Close to large supermarkets but also a little shop 5mins away in the local village. The house if beautifully kitted out with everything you would need. The only thing I would change was a more comfortable sofa to watch tv in the evenings Thank you Marc for letting us stay in your beautiful home. "

Good hotel, good walking.

"Great setting of the hotel, upon arrival we were given an upgrade of our room. Nice and very large on the ground floor. A somewhat dated room but nevertheless clean and lovely. Parking was easy and on the large grounds. A quiet area. For dinner we decided to walk into town a walk of about 25 minutes. To begin with it was downhill and then levelled out and then up the hill towards the church. We are older citizens and the walk was no major challenge more a lovely walk. The town has many choices for dinner and is a nice place to walk around. Overall the hotel was a very good choice. Breakfast was a nice affair."
