"We visit NYC to see as many Broadway shows as possible in our week. This hotel was is right in the middle of the theater district so it was perfect. Our only real complaint tlwas that the curtains in the room were very difficult (took 20 minutes to finagle them open) to open and close so we left the curtains closed the whole time. "

"Second stay at this property. Staff was excellent and helpful. The location is close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal and that makes transportation very easy by either bus or subway. Will definitely stay again. "

"The lobby was beautiful!! It had a Starbucks. We loved the location because it’s near several sights we wanted to see. We liked the size of the room since we had a suite with 2 bathrooms. However the beds were at most double sized not queen like we reserved. My husband and I aren’t big people and we barely fit on the bed together. I understand the hotel is old but the paint was chipped off. The shower head only shot out hard. The fine print said they charged for you to use the refrigerator but...

"We had a great stay at Westgate. We appreciated the great service provided by the front desk and bartending staff. Room was clean. Building felt safe. Perfect walking distance to Grand Central or anywhere in Midtown. If there was only one thing I would point out is that the frosted window in the bathroom was allowing outside air to come in which made the bathroom very cold each morning. "Hallways are kinda dirty and dark. Liked the little room. But will only stay when they have a special. Not worth the price of say a Hampton Inn. "

"We enjoyed our 5-night stay to see Broadway shows. Hotel is a few blocks from Grand Central Station, where there is a MTA shuttle train to Times Square. We also had the option to walk there. Room was comfortable, and we could not hear the occupants of adjacent rooms. Loved the complementary beverages from the bar; we carried them to our room a couple of nights. While the only breakfast option was a $45 buffet, there is a sandwich shop next door with fresh and hot foods and a decent latte. "
