"This is the best Hostel to book on any budget. Since it is also a cafe the interior is upper nice and modern looking. As in the name, the interior is all made of wood and has that amazing wood smell that makes you feel so welcomed and at peace. "Very nice corridor with classic music at a low volume. Double entry doors that bring down the outside noise. It has a small entrance space between those doors. Nicely decorated and spacious room. A choice of drinks and other stuff you might need in small vending machines inside the room. AC and heating working well. Ensuite sauna, jet-bath, shower, separate bathroom and sink. Microwave, kettle, different glasses and plates, sets of assorted coffee and tea.. Very clean. The only reason of 4 stars...

"Great place to stay, very close to Kintetsu-Nara train station. Lots of places nearby to eat nearby. A short walk to the park. Breakfast and coffee in the morning was very nice. Our only negative point, our room (201) did smell of smoke quite strongly. We believe it was above the smoking room downstairs. Overall a great stay and would recommend highly."

"I chose this ryokan since it was the only reasonably priced one in the Nara area. It has a beautiful garden just outside our room and the room itself was comfortable and large. The only downside to the place was the strong smell in the room and the cockroach that I had to kill as it crawled across the room."

"The Yamabe allows for a cheap stay at close location of Tenri JR and Kintetsu stations. The proximity of the railway may bother the ones who want a quiet stay, as the train service runs from 5 am to 11 pm. Nonetheless, the hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and have all is needed. For information, toilet and washing facilities are not comprised in the rooms. Although it did not pose me any problem, this may bother some. "
