"Caution to staying here. Pros: almost secluded with nature; very nice storage container changed into a good mobile home stay; self operated. Cons: NO shuttle/taxi/bus services to this lodging. (I even asked the manager/ possibly owner female Japanese woman, if she could give me a ride to the closest bus stop for the airport limousine bus pickup. "I really enjoyed my stay at Yufuin Yamaboshi. I arrived a couple hours before check-in time but was able to leave my luggage at the lobby so I could explore the area. My luggage was sent to my room when i returned. The room was very big and spacious and I enjoyed the experience of a tatami room. The view from my window was also gorgeous. There is a washroom in the room, but no shower/bath. The baths/shower/onsens are located in a small building outside of the main block and are separated by...

"Terrible staff service. I stayed there for 4 nights because I just didn’t want to move my belongings but seemed like the more you stay, the more terrible they are. I don’t know do they have bias only for me or not but I felt it is. As I noticed the guest who only stayed 1 night or short time, They are very welcome and doing good service. From my opinion I pay money more. Either I stayed only 1 night but I also need fairness not bias. "

"Little hidden charming Ryokan. Simple and well managed by the age lady boss. I had the individual room with bath tub attached that explains the comfort of the room. Japanese style room (without fridge), Breakfast was simple and elegant. Small outdoor onsen. "
