"The pictures used on Expedia for the rooms represent the room in its "tidiest state", but when you actually are in one of the rooms, the interior is in much worse shape (walls/beddding). The bathroom section has a toilet that barely has room for legs because a wall is in the way. At night mosquitoes can come in and so do cockroaches. While I am not scared of either, the mosquitoes are definitely annoying. While if you have command of Spanish, you can talk with the receptionist but if you don't...

"Our stay was amazing. The price per night was an absolute steal, the staff was incredibly nice, breakfast being included was much appreciated. It is maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping area and the beach. Everything was perfect. The only complaint, which was very minimal, is that the beds were rock solid. If you have anything close to a bad back, I would say be wary. Other than that, the stay was amazing! "

"Hostal Staffs are extremely friendly and willing to help you. The Hostal always has someone to open the door for you as soon as you ring the bell. You feel very safely to stay in this Hostal. It's about 10 minutes' walk to the main Plaza and everything else in City Center. It's an 8 minutes' walk to the Bus & Taxi station to go to Ollantaytambo and other cities near Cusco."

"Decent hotel, very friendly staff. Not alot within walking distance except 1 nice restaurant. Only complaint was bed was as firm as i have ever experienced. I ached like i had slept on the floor. Oversized firm pillows disnt help. Asked and recieved extra pillows that werent so firm which helped, but it wasnt good sleeping for either of us. I feel bad saying as the staff was so great"
