Bathing is done via an on-site onsen that is open from 7pm to 9am. If you are used to onsens this won't be a problem, but watch out if you've never used one before as it is a different experience. There is also nearly nothing going on in the area surrounding the hostel, so be sure to bring food with you from whatever city you are...

"Room was ok. Scruffy (wallpaper hanging off, funny smell etc) but I'm not too bothered about that. The email I received after booking said the front desk was open 6:30 til 22:00. When I arrived at lunch to leave my baggage before check-in (and I emailed ahead to check it was ok) there was nobody there, and no sign saying when someone would be back. I waited around 45mins before eventually going and finding the cleaners who were helpful. I didn't bother trying to leave my bags after checking out....
