"If you like a room that smells humid and like an old cigarette, this is a place for you. The room hasn’t been upgraded in a generation and the shower had water damage and black mold on the ceiling. The pool and hottub were shut down, and looked like they had been for a while. Of course they didn’t provide notice of any of this, especially to a family coming up to enjoy skiing, and all the outdoor activities the Lake Placid area has to offer, and would love nothing else but to soak in a hot tub...

"Can’t beat the price-the room is clean and the bathroom is updated, and we got two queen beds, not just full size beds. "It’s a motor lodge - we had a nice large room overlooking some of the high peaks . Room is large and you can control the heat. Mattress is firm but not overly so. Nice hairdryer and bathroom in general. Very clean. Carpeted (brown probably a good choice!) - might be useful to have a boot tray this time of year. "

"Town House Lodge was the perfect spot for our quick overnight. We got in late and the room was ready and waiting for us. The room was super chic and modern and very clean! It was also a great price. "The staff were particularly great with every interaction. The rooms were clean, just worn down and outdated. It's low budget stuff, but still a great value for the money. The mattresses were hard and the pillows pretty thin, but it was a good, safe roof over our heads for the night, especially on a busy weekend where a lot of places really jacked their prices up. "We had a great time staying at Cadence Lodge. It is very close to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. It was a super cute room, and it was convenient to have a refrigerator and a coffee machine. They also have a shared kitchen with an oven, microwave, cooktop etc. We ate at the restaurant on a Sunday evening, and the food was excellent alongside the drinks and service. I loved the vegetarian options. We would have eaten there on Monday/Tuesday if they had been open. Overall, it is an excellent place...

"The check in and check out process is very unorthodox but extremely easy and simple. I was a little worried when I went into the office/welcome room to get the key because it smells like cigarettes, but the room itself was perfect. You can tell they are updated rooms and look exactly like the pictures shown. They even have that fresh wood smell which makes the room feel like you’re in a cabin and not just a room. We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. "

"The property is dated but it has some charm. Our room was clean. We stayed only one night for the World Cup in ski jumping competition so we chose this hotel because mostly every hotel was booked.
