The staff person was very friendly and helpful, and accommodating when we realized I had accidentally booked twice (once via Expedia and once many months ago by phone, which I had forgotten). For whatever reason, hotel prices are quite high in Virginia, so Lakeshor is a pleasant respite from those inflated prices."

"This is a classic motel recently redone with a "Room and Board" vibe. It was clean and comfortable and once everyone settled into their rooms quiet (I slept through the night). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. My only suggestion is more lighting on the far end of the room, but it seems limited by the number of outlets."

"Really great location on a pretty quiet lake. Local bar has great food including Saturday night prime rib. Beds comfy. Kitchen well stocked. Common space isn’t large but very well laid out to make it comfortable for a family of four. Outside space is wonderful with good privacy and Great Lake views. Roughly 50 minutes to the Superior shore and all the parks. You really feel like you’re away from it all. "

The bunk room was a huge hit, watched several movies on the big screen, played games, and all of the grandkids had their personal space.
