"Some things may be a little outdated in the Nara Visitor Center & Inn but it is the best bang for your buck in town & the staff was outstanding - so friendly & helpful! I’m so glad we decided to spend a couple of days in Nara instead of just doing it as the day trip that it is so often marketed as. Nara is it’s own destination & my favorite part of my whole whirlwind journey through Japan."

Having travelled to Japan six times now, and stayed in practically every type of accommodation from family ryokans, hostels, business hotels and big “western” style hotels…this by far has been the best. Why? The amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The room design has a nice traditional twist for a modern hotel. Would recommend a lake view room too (great for people watching and having a little deck in a hotel in Japan is unheard of). Highly recommend. "
