"As Michigan travellers, we have stayed in many hotels and motels. This was the best in a long time (very clean and loved the bed). It was a last minute trip for New Year's Eve and I was able to book a room in the evening that was immediately available for us settle into with 24-hour check-in. The remote keyless entry was wonderful, along with the included amenity room, which had extra towels, cups, plates, condiments, coffee/tea, pet supplies, and indoor/outdoor games. "Our stay at this lovely riverside home was wonderful!We were impressed with access to an empty garage for parking as it was January in Northern Lower Michigan. The home more than met our needs. It was my husband and I and our adult daughter. Having 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and two family rooms was so nice! The setting beside the river was beautiful! The home manager was very responsive and helpful. The location close to Crystal Mountain was so convenient for the skiers too. We’re hoping to return...

"Contacted the property ahead of arriving because of a confusing email I received. They were able to confirm our reservation and checked us in over the phone, which allowed us to continue our sightseeing and not have to worry about it. The bathroom was small but the water was hot. One downside is that since it's on a main road there was lots of traffic noise in the morning. "

"This place is awesome and the gentleman that owns it is the kindest man you could imagine. It was like staying at my grandfather's house. Nothing fancy, but considering the alternatives in the area, the cleanliness and comfort far exceeded my expectations. Just a couple miles from tippy dam AND he has canoes and kayaks!! 10/10"

"The property brought back that nostalgia past! Very clean, beds comfortable! Walk out of your room to a small patio and sit on very nice rockers and stare out on the water and watch the boats go by! If you need all the amenities and outlets in all the rooms, not the place for you! If you want peace and to reflect this is your place! They are updating and working on the electrical!
