The staff are very young foreign workers on working holiday visas that clearly have no hospitality training or experience First, realize this property is a 15 minute drive from Akakura Onsen where the majority of bars and restaurants are – there are narrow roads that appear on Google Maps that should connect the two towns but these aren’t plowed in winter. "The staff is welcoming and kind, this is a family run business for 6 generations! The half board breakfast and dinner are exceptional, kaiseki style and every dish is presented beautifully. The location is right on the ometesando, lots of foot traffic but quiet. Futons are comfortable. We loved our stay and want to go back!"
