"Loved our stay. The only 2 things need improving is restaurant service and breakfast. We had to wait 10 min or more to just get seated, nobody had time to notice us standing at the entrance. Plus we waited 20 min to get served. I could not wait any longer, I just went to the bar and ordered myself. Definitely needs improving. Breakfast food was not very freshly cooked, some things over cooked etc."

"Fabulous staff and the room and bathroom was clean. The property and units are old so chips out of taps, old plumbing, old carpet etc but it is clean. Bed linen was new and very clean and bed comfortable. The grounds are a bit overgrown and rough but it's quiet and the staff are wonderful! Some financial investment to upgrade would be make the property fantastic!"

"This might be the prettiest place I ever stayed at. The scenery is spectacular. The hotel is just perfect. It's a beautiful country-house with exceptional food and the service is great. A++. I strongly recommend this. We did the horse and ATV tour and it's a must do. Fly into Wellington and rent a car to see the beautiful scenery on the 2 hr drive. I would love to return."

"We loved every moment! The house was perfect for our family and very cosy/comfy. The hosts were very welcoming. Highlights for us .. * The fire * The horses * The peace and quiet * The clear night sky * The river * The location ... yes it was an adventure to get there but so worth it !!"
