This is a well located easy accessed hotel that clearly has not been maintained for a long time. It was clean and the staff friendly, however the entrance is tired and unwelcoming, one of the 2 lifts did not work and I was told had not been fixed for 3 months, leading to a real health and safety risk. The second lift malfunctioned during my stay making my 90 year old father to stay in his room for 2 hours until it worked! the rooms are old, curtains not fitting the windows and the showers old without ventilation. COME ON Bay Plaza, spend some money and you would be the best botique Hotel in Wellington. Nice staff, awesome views, location brilliant........you can do this so much better

An older hotel in a great location close to Te Papa,Courtney Place,and Oriental Parade. Friendly and helpful staff. A few nice freebies in our room which was great,always nice to see a hotel operator doing something extra for guests. Would definitely stay again

The wall heater in the room was noisy. One of the lifts was out of action. The buffet breakfast was not kept hot enough. Outside the main entrance to the foyer some asbestos was being removed from the overhanging roof. Location was fantastic. Views from the 9th floor room were great! Staff were friendly and attentive.

Great location - easy to walk everywhere from this hotel with lots of food and shopping options nearby. Room was clean and serviced daily. However, the walls are paper thin and you can hear conversations, TV etc clear as day - was a big downside to staying here.

We stay at the Bay Plaza every time we visit Wellington, great location with a view of the city and harbour. Friendly staff, clean and tidy rooms, restaurant on site and walking distance to the city. It has parking available on site but unfortunately cannot book ahead. Would recommend this hotel to others.A
