"Nicest place in the area. One of the best restaurant also and very well located for the surf (walking distance). Service (for the hotel and the restaurant) is very average (same staff). Not welcoming, not engaging with clients. Should they improve that and teach the staff about hospitality, this place would be great."

"The property was close to beach and walkable. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast was an option which we had a few times. Staff was very helpful arranging taxi and sharing walks and things to explore. Enjoyed that it was non smoking. Enjoyed having coffee and water available as well. I would recommend this place and have no problem coming back."

"Bon rapport qualité prix. Staff serviable. Installation manque un peu d'entretien mais passable. Cuisine commune fonctionnelle. Proche de la plage alors très bien. Matelas mince et devrait être changé. L'intérieur des chambres est très sombres même avec les lumières allumées. On recommande seulement si vous chercher un endroit pas cher. "We were badly advised by the housing manager who told us that we could do our shopping on foot because the house is far from everything. At the end of the stay the way to the beach was impassable. There was no freezer and the fridge didn't work very well. Not recommended for travelers without a car."

"I can't say enough good things about the resort at Rancho Santana. The staff were great, the location is great, very nice facility, good food at the restaurant, nice spa, comfortable bed, quiet room. They need to address a couple small details with the room, the air conditioning was just barely sufficient, yet I noticed it was working great in the bathroom downstairs. "If you don't mind driving back and forth on dusty bumpy roads and asking where the heck this place is over and over, then it might be ok for you if you are a surfer that doesn't mind substandard lodging. The outdoor bathrooms were dirty with no water and the room smelled like vapors coming from the uncorked sewer drains. The room is worth far less"
