"Overall I enjoyed my 2 nights here. Pluses - easy parking on site, free breakfast ok with hot and cold dishes, Japanese and western but no tea available. Room ok just a bit dark. Wifi variable. Laundry facilities good. First night I was on 3F which I think was above the public bath and so noisy with machinery noises I hardly slept. I asked to be moved to a higher floor and the gentleman took care of it all and I slept well the next night on 8F. In the morning of course there were guest wake up...

"The property is in a nice location overlooking the lake. The hotel is a bit old but spacious. Dinner buffet was good with a lot of variety."

"Hotel a little old and rundown but in a beautiful location. Dinner was excellent and the staff were great!"

"This was a bit expensive for us, especially as it is a hostel and a bit out of town (20 min walk), but it was actually very nice indeed. The superb onsen was absolutely lovely with sea view, there was a nice reception, the shared lounge was enormous with amazing view and there was easy parking. We had a nice meal out at a friendly (recommended) local restaurant. Shiretoke is a truly beautiful nature reserve and well worth a visit. We were happy we stayed here."
