I visited Fukuoaka during the corona virus outbreak, and as a person with Asian/Chinese descent I feel like the check-in staff were extremely unfriendly to me. Further, I was booked into the shared dormitory, which I would strongly suggest avoiding because there's around 18 people couped into one room. "Don't expect much. The common area looks like a storage shelter. No front desk and no host. The front gate locks by latch so you can easily get locked inside. If that happens, climb out the window via room B, I think. Got locked in twice. If there is nobody outside to open it for you, no option but the window.
