"Amazing view of Zihuatanejo bay. Beautiful property. Short walk into town. Staff was excellent. Would have liked a refrigerator in the room. Local food was so amazing we always had leftovers. Maybe a shower door or curtain so we didn't flood the floor so much. Excellent over all."

"Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. "Overall it’s the most naturally beautiful property on La Ropa. Staff are helpful. Only drawback is lack of English of many staff members. Breakfast is great. Dinner is okay not great. Entertainment should do Mexican songs not terrible renditions of American music."

"This was our second visit to Aura Del Mar; the first visit was when it was named Brisas Del Mar in 2010. This property has kept all the charm that we feel in love with back in 2010 and has made some incredible additions since. The pool deck over looking the ocean was peaceful and gave you a beautiful 360• view. The landscaping is gorgeous and tended to. The onsite spa has been updated and is lovely. Coffee machines in every room with fresh ground coffee provided. Turn down service at night....

"Rooms are utilitarian, space is tight but you are not there to sit around when there is so much to do or just sit in a cafe and watch the day pass. It is center to all the beach community. Food, drinks, and shopping"

"This place is really beautiful and well designed. Unfortunately we had issues with our suite. Many of the doors didn’t seal properly leaving sometimes a 1 inch gap to the outside. This led to many mosquitoes getting in the room and biting us while we tried to sleep. If you are worried about dengue or sika don’t come here because there is no way to keep mosquitoes out and no mosquito net on the bed. We told maintenance and they gave us raid and a mosquito racquet but didn’t really fix the issue....

"Great location if you want to be in the thick of it as I did. Hosts were very friendly and also gave me a free late check out. Accommodation itself is a bit basic, but overall enjoyed my stay there."

"Our flight was cancelled and we could not rebook for another two days. This was an excellent stay and a great place to be stranded. Lovely breakfast and close to the beach. I was charmed by the old hacienda feel of the building. There are only five rooms, so it felt very uncrowded. "
