"I love that this hotel was completely different than what I expected. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised by the bed & breakfast style of the hotel and the nostalgic memorabilia displayed throughout the hotel as well. The staff was very informative and accommodating to my needs while speaking english. I felt right at home. The free hot chocolate was delicious which I sipped graciously in the living room after a hot soak in the private onsen. I had such a relaxing experience. I am looking forward to visiting Yufuin again and returning to this hotel! "

"Everything is perfect! Staff is so awesome & Ryokan is well maintained. Only concerns are internet connection is bad & the constant phone call buzzing. Our check out is 10am but by 9:40am they’d started buzzing us."

"It’s a very small Ryokan. Nothing much around the area. To only enjoy the room and onsen. Basic necessities. Quiet and has lots of greenery. Get to enjoy the traditional feel of a Japanese onsen. Transportation & food not included."

"Quiet location just a short walk from the train station. Superb ryokan experience with modern amenities throughout. If you’re fortunate enough to get a room with a private onsen, you can enjoy all manner of luxury beyond the available public onsen facilities. A great option to spoil yourself, if even for a night or two. "

"Location: The hotel is located about 1.6KM (approximately 25 mins walk) from Yufuin Station and food source. Connectivity: WiFi is not available in the room, only in the lobby. Customer Service: Requested for a dinner reservation on the third night of our stay, but got rejected. Requested for two additional pillows, but got rejected again. Service staff at the front desk, uncle with spec, is always grouchy and unfriendly. Room: Huge, but old. There are holes in the blanket. Onsen: Probably the only nice thing in the hotel."
