"GH house is a small, friendly hotel close to the main attractions in Lukang — the beautiful Mazu temple and the old streets of the town. The rooms and clean and roomy and quiet. The manager was very friendly. Breakfast was included, but ordering it was a little complicated and the plate of nuts and fruit may not be everyone’s idea for breakfast. But overall a great place to stay when exploring this lovely old town. "

However, there is no elevator nor electric kettle, only a hot water flask upon request for hot water, so we did not use. Breakfast is good for people who like simple organic food, freshly served but no choice and no coffee. "

"Super cute B&B with really friendly staff and nice location. The only problem is the open toilet/bathroom....if you are not traveling solo you will essentially have 0 privacy when using the toilet. If you are a friends or a couple and OK with that, stay here! "

"Had a great one night stay at water house. Friendly staff and they let me my bag pre check in and post check in so I could start sight seeing. I had already hired a bike but there is also one next door. 10 mins walk from a great sunrise spot too. Thanks for a lovely stay x"

"Great stay, our room has a balcony overlooking the lake that was stunning. It's about 15 minutes to walk to the bus station or pier area where the dining options are. The room was large and bed and shower were great. The family that runs the place are very nice even picked us and and took us back to the bus station. At night it's very peaceful and tucked away from the crowds. Highly recommend this property."

"Great location - front entrance is through a bike store, the back entrance leads to the bus terminal and the ferry terminal. Staff was helpful and provided recommendations for touring the lake and food options. The rooms were Totoro-themed and spacious. Sound-proofing was not the best, but sufficient for a good rest. "
