"Very pretty, clean and well equipped room in a beautiful Country Pub setting. Good selection of breakfast items (I didn’t have the cooked breakfast) Lovely, warm room with fab shower. There was a quiz night when I was there but nothing could be heard from the room. Very friendly staff. Couple of very small things to note, The room I was in got very noise when traffic started to pass along the road to the front. "I arrived on New Years Eve, but the property hadn't warned me that the only food option was a three course meal at £44.50. Similarly on New Years Day, I went early for dinner at 6.15 to be told the kitchen closed at 6. No one had alerted me to the early closure. They did make me some Tapas. If I had known I would have eaten elsewhere before returning to hotel. The food on New Years Day was excellent, I just didn't want to spend that much money. "

"Staff were very good and cheerful. Very much a local pub still, which we enjoyed, especially when the rugby was on! We were in Bedroom 8, which in busy times would suffer with a lock of privacy being overlooked by the path down the side and a glamping tent behind. The cooked breakfast was fantastic, but that's all there was, no fruit or cereal. We did enjoy our stay there however."

"I really enjoyed my stay there. The actual rooms themselves were great. Super clean, lots of space. The entrance kind of looks like a prison, and was a little off-putting when I arrived. Also, it’s by a bar called the Purple Turtle. It’s LOUD! Not the music, but the people who go to the bar. It’s roust, and I had the pleasure of being woken up around 3am each day to people screaming and yelling. Bring your ear plays to drown them, and the busses that pass through there out. "
