"I had a very brief, but wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan. I had arrived early to Taoyuan at 11AM, and although the official check-in time is at 3PM, the recepcionist (Ann, I think was her name) was kind enough to check with housekeeping to corroborate if a room was ready so that I could have an early check-in. Fortune was on my side and I had a quick and easy early check-in. The breakfast area is small, but offers a variety of Taiwanese and Western food items, with beverages like tea and coffee and some cookies available 24/7. If you are looking for a meal, nearby you will find restaurants (there is a Japanese grill right across the street) and the always trusty 7 Eleven. Carrefour is also some blocks away. The room was spacious enough for my stay, the bathroom (with bidet) and shower clean, and the shower also has a line to hang your clothing if you decide to wash it. If you are gym rat, the hotel's fitness room is located on the second floor, but you won't find much equipment inside the small room: a treadmill, a stationary bike, a pair of light dumbbells, a grip trainer, a lacrosse massage ball, a mat, plenty of bottled water, towels, bathroom, and shower. Not sure if they have another fitness room for another guest to work out at the same time. The staff at the front desk and at the breakfast service was kind and attentive. They even helped me call a taxi to the airport. Overall I would recommend this hotel to friends. "

"The accommodations at this facility are exceptional, with highly attentive staff. It's rare to find a local hotel brand that competes so closely with international standards. The location is a 10-minute walk from the MRT station. While local food options are sparse within several blocks, you can find a variety of eateries just 10-15 minutes away on foot. The neighborhood, however, is less visually appealing compared to areas like Da'an or Xinyi, which offer more points of interest at similar price points. Given the current nightly rates, it is challenging to recommend this hotel for the Xinzhuang district. "

"The facilities are very rundown and the room is horribly old and even the bathroom door is missing and not replace. There is total no place to put the towel and noting to hang the towel or clothing when you taking show. Worst still is that there is no hot water for the shower during the cold winter for all the rooms I had booked for myself and my guests. Horrible!!!!"
