"This is a beautiful home with everything you would want in your quiet gateway. James is an excellent host, great communication and he made sure our stay was enjoyable. Thanks for the wine and blueberry coffee plus the extra😀. Much appreciated. This is a pet friendly home yet it was very clean. Occasional fur here and there is expected. I always carry my portable air purifier with me whenever i go on vacation. Our pet needed an extra day to be fully comfortable, she was being dora the explorer 😀. this is maybe a vrbo problem but the location gps takes you is for the wrong house. Make sure you follow the directions james provided. Next time we vacation in maine, this home is going to be our place to stay. "

"Home was just as listed. Perfect size for 3-4 people. Quiet neighborhood, comfortable accomodations close to Baxter State Park. Property manager very gracious and accomodating when I made an error in our departure date. I would definitely stay again."

"Had a very nice, relaxing time. Cabin was clean and organized. The road getting to the cabin was off roading so AWD/4WD SUV/Truck is required. The lake was relaxing, the fire pit was great. The dog loved it. Jerry’s is the grocery store in town and was fantastic. Highly recommend. "

The cabin is one of the few on the lake that retains its old-timey charm with just enough modern amenities to make things comfortable. It is a true getaway. "Our stay at the rustic cabin on East Grand Lake was wonderful. The 26-acre private island provided a unique and peaceful escape. The lake's incredibly clear water made swimming and floating a true pleasure. Our dogs loved exploring the island, running around, and playing in the lake. The propane stove, refrigerator, and charcoal grill worked perfectly for all our cooking needs, offering the right balance of convenience while maintaining the rustic feel. The island allowed us to fully relax and unwind. Built in 1907, the cabin had a lot of character with refinished floors, skylights, and off-the-grid lighting. Pete, our host, was very friendly and communicative, and his assistance with transportation to and from the island, as well as help with our gear, made our stay easy and enjoyable. One unexpected benefit was the limited cell phone reception, perfect for disconnecting and truly relaxing though may pose an issue if you need to stay fully connected to the internet. In summary, the cabin on East Grand Lake is a great place for a peaceful and charming getaway. Whether you're looking to fish, swim, kayak/canoe, or just relax, it offers everything you need. We left feeling refreshed and would certainly return."

"The camp is exactly what you would expect in northern Maine on the water. The location is very private due to the trees and rocks down by the water. There is a small beach on the property as well. Owner was very responsive and took care of an issue right away. Would certainly stay again."
