"Nov 2024 - This is a very old pub, persevered very well and in keeping with it's original historic 656 year old design. Great food and drink selection and wonderful staff. With that in mind, it is a pub, and therefore very noisy until around 12am later at weekends. As it's old it's also very creaky, so expect to here residents walking to and from the bathroom / toilets. The rooms are what you'd expect in keeping with an old building and a little cold in winter. Air conditioning for a ground floor Beer Keg store? fortunately ended 10pm in Winter but wondering re Summer or even Spring or Autumn. Wasn't impressed by heavy small metal teapots half filled and awful potato fritters and streaky bacon in full English."
