"My room was on the top floor and I had a number of heavy suitcases, so carrying them up was quite exhausting after a long flight and ride from Schiphol. In late August, the room was very warm as it had a glass door on one side and three large windows/doors on the other. So sun most of the day. "We stayed in the island lodge. The lodge itself is very nice, only downpoint of the actual lodge is lack of storage space in the kitchen. My biggest complaints about this place were 1. When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. "About a 20 minute drive from the Amsterdam airport, this is a cute little home in a quaint town in the country. Some restaurants close by but not a whole lot else, which is kind of what we were looking for. The host is nice, knowledgeable about sites and surrounding areas, and helpful with special needs. "This property has 2 rentals next to each other. Carola and Joris are very approachable and wonderful hosts. They want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Each unit is newly renovated and comfortable for 1-2 people to stay in. It is conveniently located near the Maxima Park, shops and lots of beautiful bike and walking paths. "Alles in allem eine sehr schöne Ferienwohnung in einem sehr schönen Ort. Sauber, geräumig, Hell und ruhig gelegen. Alles in allem sehr positiv. Einzig negativ zu bewerten ist die Baustelle welche sich derzeit genau vor dem Hauseingang befindet (hört man aber in der Wohnung nichts von) und das es keinen kostenfreien Parkplatz in der Umgebung gibt und man auch sonst nicht mit dem Auto bis an die Wohnung heran kommt.
