"We had a great experience while staying here. We had booked the two cottages for my mum's surprise birthday and I have a large family. This was a great place to do this as there was a pool which entertained us all and enough space that you weren't in each other's space. It had beautiful views and a hiking tail right on the doorstep for anyone interested in a lovely walk. It wasn't far to get to local shops/bars/pubs. I would stay here again"

"The property was as described and was clean and comfortable and in a good location. Check in was easy. However this is the only property I have EVER stayed in that didnt provide any tea coffee milk etc. Even budget hotels do this. It made the place seem unwelcoming and meant we hsd nothing to drink on arrival after a long journey. The same applies to the minute amount of hand soap provided. Also, a bin bag would have been useful. Parking was ok but was on the street and at a distance...fine...

The cottage is in a nice quiet location just outside the small town of Holmfirth with plenty to do in the area and some nice pubs/restaurants only a few minutes away. The property itself is finished to a high quality and has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The beds are very comfortable and give a good night's sleep. "Just what we needed to visit our daughter at Huddersfield Uni. We were looking for something on the lovely countryside around Holmfirth and this ticked all the boxes. Easy check in, plenty of options on just eat and a beautiful, characterful terrace with enclosed yard, perfect for our dog."

"Really nice cottage, all useful things provided plus a selection of treats! Dog friendly, in fact the owner went over & above. Would stay again, great place for walking & local pubs, some you will need a car for, but that wasn't an issue. Many thanks for sorting out my inability to put the washing machine just on spin!"
