The thoughtfulness was really appreciated, a fresh baked cake under a lovely glass dome, a fruit bowl and my preferred milk in the fridge such kind generous touches. "From the moment we checked in until the time we left, everything was surprisingly almost perfect!!! The warm and friendly welcome received from Serena at check-in was much appreciated after receiving a 'not so warmly greeting' at our previous B&B accommodation. Thank you, Serena! Room - Spotlessly clean and quiet! Amenities - The bathrobe, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and soap provided were all of a high quality! Bed & Bed Linen - The bed was very comfortable for us and the bed linen was also of very good quantity. In Room Mini Bar & Snacks - A great variety provided and, once again, good brands supplied. Reading materials, i.e. Travel magazine and other informative brochures and magazines were also provided. Ironing board, iron, hair dryer, kettle, luggage rest and a small, but decent fridge, was standard inclusion in all rooms. PS - Fridge being larger than the average tiny bar fridge provided in all hotels. A surprising and much appreciated inclusion was a 'Martini package', including a Stainless steel shaker, martini glasses, alcohol and mixers for a night of entertainment! Overall, service was impeccable! An extra special thanks to Serena and Lydia for making our one night stay there a most memorable one. Your friendly, obliging and attentative qualities were certainly noticed and much appreciated! You are both an asset to The Lancemore Hotel! We look forward to returning there soon for a much longer stay of pampering! Restaurant - 5/5 Delectable!!! "

"Andrew and Melissa were very welcoming and provided wonderful information for our first visit to Beechworth. The location is excellent- walk to everything. Room very pleasant, spotless and great value. Bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep immediately and slept through-I usually wake up a few times a night! "

"Robert went out of his way to make our family stay super convenient and enjoyable, allowing us to leave the car an extra night as we cycled the rail trail, lending us crockery, utensils and condiments for an impromptu BBQ in their fabulous alfresco area, and generally being super friendly and helpful. The rooms have been recently renovated and are first class: great decor and bathrooms, comfy beds and quality inclusions (first time I've stayed in a motor inn offering in-room pod coffee). It was perfect for our family, with soccer and basketball facilities just around the corner, and an easy 15 min stroll into Beechworth centre. Highly recommended."
