"The room was clean, pleasant and ready on time. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and decently sized. We stayed in Room 1. The room is painted in dark colours which were modern and nice but with the lighting I couldn’t see anything up close in the mirrors. It was dark for applying any make-up. "

"Great 1 night stay at The Old Mill. Check in was smooth greeted by one of the team in reception. Room was clean and comfortable. Pillows were a bit too firm but just my view. Food in restaurant was some of the best pub food I have had for a long time and good value. Restaurant was surprisingly busy for mid-week and good to see. Breakfast also was the same great quality. Will definitely be back!"

"A lovely welcome to a lovely, remote Old Mill house..! The place is beautiful but needs a little TLC which works are being carried out now. The room was OK, big enough but a very cold bathroom - no heat in there at all.. The bed was old & creaky but clean & we slept OK. Tea & Coffee in the room. Bar area and breakfast was first class - always served with a smile. Open fire in bar area made it very cosy. We would stay again. Would love to see the place a little busier which I'm sure it will be...

"My partner and I stayed for an evening while visiting Durham. The room and staff exceeded our expectations. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tastefully designed and extremely spacious. We were lucky enough to have a view of the cathedral. Breakfast was of very high quality and served in a very pleasant environment.
