When we arrived the staff were so friendly and helpful and we arranged to have food in the restaurant, which was first class, and the breakfast in the morning was just as nice,, so highly recommended this place…. Definitely booking again thank you"

"Really enjoyed my time here, mostly peaceful, food good and left alone as needed privacy. Lovely pub and surroundings. Only gripes would be loud music until 2.00am in the morning one of nights I was there, but I guess this comes with staying in a pub. Also nasty smell in shower/toilet room, Maybe a problem with water pipes. Sort of like a dirty drain smell. Shame as the rest of my experience was great."

"All in all nice little cottage for a couple and good as was pet friendly to go up Durham to visit our son up uni and take our dog to see him too. Cottage was nice a little place although i think the tv was slightly too high on wall. As we arrived there were 3 plumbing vans parked outside so had to park out side another cottage for bout hour n half till they moved their vans after going in pub at front of cottages before parking own car then outside our own cottage.
