"Very love area with walking paths, forest and birds, lots of birds. The dining hall, reception and lounge area are fabulous. The extra building housing non-suite rooms is very tired looking and cold, but the price reflects that, so no complaints. Staff is very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay there again."

"Great overnight stop with the most friendly and helpful of staff. Facilities excellent and being able to bring our dog was so good. We had an amazing stay at the Manor House Hotel

"We had an amazing stay at the Manor House Hotel and Spa. We specifically wanted to stay in the historic house itself, and it did not disappoint. We stayed in Room 37, which, while traditional in style, was full of character—including a charming hidden bathroom that added to the unique experience. Every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally polite and friendly, making us feel truly welcome. The spa was clean and well-maintained, with robes provided upon entry and secure lockers with keys for convenience."

HC Property - The Hideaway at Watergate Eye

Hot tub wanted, Ice bath received

"Well this booking was made on the whole purpose of having a relaxing weekend after running 350km for charity over the past few months. So we booked here for the hot tub and the relevant ease of running a Park Run on the Saturday. After running this Park Run we returned back to the accommodation for our day of in and out of the hot tub. Although this turned out to be turned off so we had an ice bath, not advertised on the website. We then were told that we would get a nights refund for this error. (2 weeks on still waiting). The hosts did bring someone round to fill the hot tub up to enable us to get in which took around 30-40 minutes. But then we discovered the cooker doesn’t work by this time we had had enough and just packed up and went home. My verdict on this accommodation is don’t bother and certainly get anything they offer in writing. "

"We had a lovely long weekend stay to visit family and go to the Miners Gala. The flat is really spacious and has all you need. Emma responded quickly to my questions. We'd definitely stay there again."
