"I found it to be clean and comfy. Beds were great. Linens appeared fresh. Only two downfalls were the phone didn’t work in my room so I couldn’t get a wake up call and the lighting on the main road into the hotel is non existent. Hard to see even pulling in. Not the fault of the hotel, just watch entering and leaving on the main road! Otherwise great stay. Friendly people. "

"The only option available to book was the part of the lodge that was not updated. We asked for an upgrade at checkin but they were not able to accomodate. Instead the front desk staff provided free breakfast for our stay which was very generous. Loved my spa booking and the staff in the spa. Enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. We got the same server, Willi, at both breakfasts. He was so nice and made it a pleasure. Everything needed was onsite. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back! "

"This is the third time my brothers and I have enjoyed our yearly mancation in this amazing location. The cabin is great with a large indoor fireplace. We always hope for snow and cold and this year we got run around outside in plenty of both. Kevin is a great host and quickly responds to any of our needs or questions. We really enjoyed having an outside fire, overlooking the frozen pond, and chilling out in a snowstorm! Going inside and warming up in the cozy cabin was also pretty glorious. I would certainly recommend this place. Thanks for letting us stay. See you next year if not sooner!"

"Enjoyed the quaint little cottage on the River. Close to Wheeling and local winery which we enjoy. Clean and welcoming atmosphere in the cottage and the host was friendly and we had good communication. Pizza Express is just down the road for takeout and we liked their fresh homemade dough.Overall a nice experience at this location."
