"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. "The room and bathroom were very nice and clean although the room was quite cold in the evening but nice and warm in the morning, and the bed felt extra cold taking ages to get warm. The bath towels were a bit on the small side and quite discoloured. Lovely building. Didn’t use the grounds. "

"Property itself inside was clean and tidy - this property is obviously a work in progress and would love and visit again in say 6 months to see how far things have progressed.. rooms themselves are immaculate and definitely underpriced.. do need to look at the entry system for the property as front was not working and the back was erratic.. overall though was very impressed at the facilites on offer and location is superb.."

"Stayed on a Saturday evening. After travelling and a long day I was looking forward to a rest. The room was clean but no remote for the tv and the toilet seat was broken. I spoke to the staff and nothing materialised to sort either. Also there was entertainment which I wasn’t aware of so it was very noisy, especially as I was directly above them. "The property is clean, tidy and comfortable. The little communal kitchen area is a very good idea for making food or sitting in while eating a takeaway. There is plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and also a little fridge for storing milk, drinks, food etc. Have stayed before, hence why I returned again. We were staying in the Family Room, but were not advised when booking that on our second night immediately below that room would be a rock band, performing until 10:30pm. Immediately below the Family Room!?!?!? The floor was literally shaking, which left us with 3 distressed children. A really appalling situation. "The apartment was a bit tired looking but otherwise fine for one night. Much cheaper than other apartments around. Location couldn't be better - right next to Digital nightclub. As for the deposit, previous reviews did irk me but I did get it refunded by 10 working days. Make sure to send them your bank details on arrival. Also their 26+ age policy really ought to be made clear on the listing. "

Brilliant Motel!

"One of the nicest places we've stayed in Newcastle and the location was first class especially for the Theatre Royal & the Bigg Market. Receptionist 'Chloe' was very friendly and welcoming! Room was brill (Room 532), nice King Size bed, Aircon fantastic and everything else brill for an Overnight stay. Happily go back again for the price"

Highly recommended.

"The Copthorne was wonderful, it was warm and inviting, with helpful and supportive staff members. We only stayed the one night but will be sure to return soon. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, and the room was immaculate, with views out onto the river which were second to none. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with a good selection of food. "

Small but perfectly formed

"Clean, warm, quiet room with a well thought out layout which meant that even though it was small, it didn't feel cramped. In particular I liked the many shelves to put "stuff" on. Perfect for an occasional stopover, but perhaps not ideal for an extended stay."
