"This was a quick overnight for us, visiting family nearby and out to dinner, and still it felt like we'd escaped to a different time and place, yet with full amenities. Amazing. I wanted to stay up all night reading by the fire but forced myself to bed, to discover the king size i'd only had time to glance at was a luxurious heated nest. " You drive on an unpaved road for quite a while to get to the Inn. Once you get there, there is the most beautiful place that looks like a large log cabin. It is right on the lake and there are trees everywhere. One of the most beautiful areas that I’ve been to. The room is huge and very comfortable. I also had a balcony that overlooked the lake. Perfect to sit with a glass of wine and stare at the sights."

"This was a super nice stay: great location to attend the Back Porch Music Fest. Easy drive to Tree House Brewery in Deerfield. Property was very nice, clean, had ammenities for a great stay. Host was extremely helpful to me. I highly recommend!"

"The main floor is laid out well and very cozy. Kitchen is well stocked with plenty of workspace. We were worried about having space to eat, but were able to fit the 5 of us around the table with no issues. As described the stairs both inside and out are “interesting” but we didn’t have any issues. It was extremely cold and rainy when we arrived but the stairs had been cleared as well as possible and there was plenty of ice melt for us to use the next day when the weather cleared. "Property and room was beautiful but missing some key things that would make it convenient. For example, a valet, I had to park and take 2 separate elevators to get to my room with all my luggage! There was also no fridge in the room. For a 4 star hotel, I really didn’t think that it would be missing something so simple. Finally and not to sound nit picky, but I would also have preferred a full length mirror. Getting dressed and not knowing what I look like was annoying…I’m sure this is a complaint a lot of other women would have too because my friend in the room with me shared the same frustration. There was a half a mirror in a corner where u had to move furniture and turn sideways to use it. Which I’m sure wasn’t their intention. Otherwise, my stay was amazing!"
