The beds, other than master, were a little low for us old folks. Some, little, easy repairs are needed. "We particularly enjoyed the spectacular views. Beds were comfy. Found the decor a bit overdone. Lighting was hard to figure out (especially since we were directed to keep outside lighting at a minimum.) Master toilet didn't work (sent message to property manager). One bedroom on mid-level did not have a bathroom access (found that to be a little strange) and not represented in information about the house. Hot water not working in one of the kitchen sinks and took forever to get hot in the other...

"A great place for a long fall weekend as a family. The house was very clean - one of the very rare VRBOs we’ve stayed at where my son doesn’t leave sneezing due to dust. Our kids loved the zip line, rope course and jumping in the leaves, along with the air hockey table. Great launching point for both the water park and Shenandoah NP. Only fyi, bring soap for the shower and coffee beans/pods. We had them with us, so wasn’t an issue. We would definitely stay again!"

"Loved having the "secluded cabin in the woods feel" while still being within 20 minutes of the town of Elkton and one of the national park entrances. Convenient location for the national park explorers. Harrisonburg was not far either if you needed a bigger grocery store or restaurant options. Very clean and cozy! The hosts made us feel welcome with a thank you card and bottle of wine waiting for us in the kitchen. Would definitely go back!"

"We had a wonderful time at the Harvest Moon. Good location for a mountain getaway. The house is decorated nicely and is cozy. Basement is a plus with the pool table, air hockey and hot tub. The owners were easy to reach and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I hope to go again one day!"

"This property was fantastic! Our group of 12 had a great vacation here. Plenty of room for everyone, with lots of privacy. Basement was a huge hit with the kids. Kitchen was fully stocked with all of the basic cooking tools needed and most importantly for me, the property was very clean!! Would love to stay here again. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!"

"We live locally but had friends and family coming to town for my birthday so we rented Riley’s retreat. Our weekend was filled with visits to all the food and beverages on 151. I loved the fun amenities at the house ( hot tub, pool table, games, etc). My initial investigation I didn’t realize we we so far up Wintergreen but in the end it did not matter and was a perfect house for the weekend ! Thank you !!"

Also saw one ground from balcony. Easy access to Shenandoah National Park for great hiking and fall colors."
