"I stayed on 19th December and was impressed by how beautifully the hotel's ground floor had been decorated for Christmas. (The Christmas tree on the top of the first short flight of stairs was the first thing to catch my eye.) There was no queue at Reception and I was delighted to receive an upgrade to the twin room I had booked. Now we would have a twin and a King room, the King being particularly spacious and set off beautifully by the near-Solstice sun lowering in the west. I rated everything 5 stars, as regards comfort, cleanliness, facilities and so on. I'm baffled why I have never stayed there before. Had I done so years ago, I would never have stayed anywhere different in Cardiff. No gimmicks, simply restful. The property is on a traffic junction but I found it peaceful enough and quiet at night."

"Our stay couldn't have been better. My 2 year daughter has a severe dairy allergy and we were looked after from start to finish. The staff were superb, the food was delicious (highly recommend the breakfast!) and the room was lovely. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott. All the staff were friendly. Our room was spacious and well equipped. The Browns bar and restaurant created a great atmosphere in the hotel and we especially liked listening to the live pianist. "
