"Good place to stay in Ha Giang, a bit outside the main part of town which was both good and bad: good in that it was quieter, and less likely to be a roudy, party-like atmosphere, but this also means that you have to walk a bit to reach restaurants if you want (the hotel does have a restaurant on site, so that helps).
