"Lovely spacious well-heated house in beautiful countryside. We had a week of snowy weather which was heavenly. Edward, the owner was extremely helpful. He towed out some cars which got stuck in the car park by the house, provided lots of logs, replaced the washing machine which had problems and was generally a great help. This is a house for people who like old books and furnishings...don't go there if you want modern posh."

"Fantastic property with everything you'd need, or thought you didn't need.... great hosts who were eager to make sure we'd settled in and had everything we needed or any help with suggestions for sight seeing (although great information book supplied). We were new to the area but found the location perfect as a base for exploring near and far. over a few days..plenty to do on your doorstep with shops and eateries with-in Melrose if you don't fancy cooking. "Stayed a couple of nights for our anniversary and had the most amazing time! This cottage is exceptional.. perfectly situated near beach, shops pubs etc, plenty parking options on a nice quiet street. Inside is really well decorated and has everything you could want or need in a home away from home. Comfy bed, cosy sofa and a hot shower. Would highly recommend the cottage and will definitely return. "

"A very basic standard of accommodation, the beds weren’t very comfortable, the TV was tiny and only Freeview channels available. The outside area was like a junk yard and parking was tricky in terms of getting back out on to the road. No communication prior to our stay so we had no idea of the check in process. Ok for a 2 night stay but won’t be returning."
