"A lovely countryside farmhouse b and b. The landlady is friendly and helpful, keen to make sure all your needs are met. My room was very comfortable, clean, warm and well appointed. "I stayed 3 nights in this lovely public house (the Sun Inn, Acomb). It didn't have big town amenities, but it was fine for me as I wanted to visit and walk parts of Hadrians Wall. The couple running this enterprise had only taken it over about a month before I stayed, but I think they are doing it brilliantly. A nice atmosphere in the bar. "This is an amazing B&B that you can use as a base for exploring Hadrian's Wall. Brain & Gill are great hosts. The room is great with a kettle, tea and coffee. Breakfast is self-service, and you have a nice selection of cereals, fruit, juice, milk, bread, coffee, and tea. All that you need to get started. You can use the kitchen later in the day if you want to cook your own meals instead of the outside option. Fully recommend. "
