"Great location wise and easy walk into the main town good size room, well decorated with well stocked mini bar 😊 Would recommend, only downside was we were in the room downstairs (basement) so view out of windows was not good. "

"Perfect location for walking into the city or to the railway station (no more than 10-15mins). Stayed in the delux double bedroom in the annex. Confused as room didn’t match the images on their website. Duty manager informed and he agreed and apologised. For a delux room would have expected more luxuries, the only benefit seemed to be size of room and en-suite. Breakfast options ok, but as for advertising continental options, only saw yoghurt "

"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"

"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. "Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless. You could tell entering the room that the couple who own the property were truly passionate about the hotel. Nice little extras like biscuits/chocolate/shampoo/shower gel. Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. "Stayed one night - immaculately clean and compact room. Breakfast was wonderful and very tastefully presented. Thank you. Couple of gripes relating to weak pressure on shower and wooden bed posts which were difficult to avoid knocking one’s leg on initially. Otherwise immaculate setup with beautiful gardens and setting. Parking excellent for all guests."

"The hotel was conveniently placed for a function I was attending. I contacted the owner to discuss a slightly earlier check in..no problem at all. On arrival we were greeted and made welcome by the owner. A spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. Top quality ingredients and all in all a great experience "
