"We had a wonderful time! The property was well kept inside and out. I didnt mind the walk down and up the backyard to the dock but the roped off access that didnt allow for us to put-in our Yaks at, like we thought, was a disappointment. We did however sit on the well maintained dock and got the bluegill/ bream that was available from the location. Collins River was our actual ctual target drop-in site for the Musky though. "We loved our stay. Beautiful view and property. Had everything we needed and the owners were helpful and accommodating! We came to the area for Burgess Falls (which was breathtaking… we did the hiking overlook trail and then also kayaked with a guide to the base of the falls) It was a great adventure. The property description lists Burgess as closer than it is… it is a 35-40 minute drive but worth it! "

"The house is not what we were expecting after looking at the photos. The house is historic, but it needs a lot of updating and has a very dark, old feeling. Bugs were found in the kitchen, front bedroom, and bathroom including small roaches, spiders, and stink bugs. The mattress in the front bedroom is an old spring mattress and very uncomfortable. Stink bugs and spiders were in the front bedroom. The kitchen supplies were old and outdated, and we saw small roaches crawling around. The den couch...

"Wanting to get away, but stay close enough to haul our boat w/ us, we decided on this nearby location. Everything was precisely what we expected. Easy access to Center Hill lake and Cookeville Boat Dock made for more time on the water. Our 3 boys loved it and there was not shortage of space for them to safely roam free. Highly recommended for a quick, very accessible getaway from NSHVL. "
