About this space
The Country Cabin at Bear Bluff Retreat is located on a wooded 20 acres above and overlooking Wright's Bend on Center Hill Lake near Rock Island State Park. The surrounding area is considered the waterfall mecca of Tennessee with more caves, waterfalls and scenic overlooks per square mile than anywhere else in the United States.

This cabin features a country theme and provides a perfect place to relax on the porch and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Guest access: The entire cabin is yours to enjoy. You will also have access to our on-site laundry room and propane barbecue under the pergola by our meadow.
Other things to note:
Please drive slowly and carefully on our entry road, especially at night. It can be dark here and we like to keep it that way so that you can enjoy the night sky from your cabin porch.

Beautiful view of the river. My husband and I stayed 2 nights in October. We hiked at the State Parks in the area. Very clean, nice cabin, I highly recommend. Safe and quiet. Would love to return in the future.

The cabin was comfortable with a beautiful view of the river. Our extended family visited us to cook hotdogs a nd smores over a campfire. All was very enjoyable.

My pup & I loved our stay at Bear Bluff Retreat so much! The cabin was SO clean & so cute and had absolutely everything we needed. The porch view, especially at sunset, is so beautiful. Proximity to the state parks was super convenient and we especially enjoyed exploring Rock island State park. The hosts, Curt & Joann, made check in super easy and offered great suggestions! We've already told all our friends and family to put it on their travel lists & would be so happy to visit again!

Beautiful and Quiet Retreat
My husband and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary. The place is very clean and stocked with anything you may need. It overlooks a beautiful bend in the lake. It is extremely quiet and centrally located to several different state parks, caves, and waterfalls. At nighttime, we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and could see tons of stars in the nighttime sky.

This place is fantastic! We got to bring our pups with us and the cabin is so nice; nicer than some hotels these days. The owners think of everything you might possibly need. The views are spectacular. It was so quiet, lots of bird watching and hiking close by. Curt was very accommodating and the checkin/checkout process is so easy. We can’t wait to book again!

We couldn't have found the most perfect place for our vacation. The views were beautiful! I didnt really wantto leave our cabin but we did come down to enjoy the waterfalls, Cumberland Caverns, and Jack Daniels Distillery. Curt and JoAnn were amazing and quick to respond to requests. The cabin was beautiful and fully stocked with everything we could've needed. Curt was super nice and you can tell that they take pride in their properties. Great views and comfortable cabin
The view of the lake did not disappoint! Drinking coffee on the porch and listening to all the bird songs was a wonderful way to start the day. The cabin was clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Great location that’s close enough to what we were visiting the area to do (hiking and waterfalls) but far enough from most people to be peaceful. The only negative was I wish we could have tried out the fire pit and s’mores fixings the hosts provided, but it was too rainy during our trip. Maybe next time!

Gorgeous View & Great Hosts
We wanted to check out TN’s beautiful state parks & we’re looking for some place relaxing, cozy, & with beautiful views. This was it! The location has an amazing view off the balcony, isn’t far from multiple state parks for a fun DIY waterfall tour & was an easy drive to Nashville’s airport. We stayed in cabin 3 - Country Cabin. It was so clean & cute! The bed was comfortable, water pressure was great in the shower, & even though there are 3 cabins in a row, it still felt like our own little retreat. Curt & JoAnn are so welcoming & fun to talk to if you get the chance. It’s always nice staying at a VRBO where you know the hosts are actually happy to be doing it. We hope to visit again!

Perfect spot!
Curt & JoAnn's property is perfect! The view of the river is stunning, the property is kept up so nicely, and it's in a great location to get to the state parks. Curt & JoAnn also live on the property so if you need anything, they are very responsive! If you're looking for a peaceful spot, this is it. I enjoyed coffee and the sunrise every morning on the deck overlooking the river. We will be back!
