"We booked the property to celebrate my father in laws 80th birthday so there were lots of people ranging from 2 months old to 102 years old! The house itself is fab and the accommodation on offer was great. Location is excellent being near Bolam Lake with some good walks. We had a few teething problems in terms of heating and some supplies but all in all had a good stay"

"Lovely clean property with lots of space and rooms. Gardens beautiful and accessible with seating. Adults and children really enjoyed our stay however having tv in the reception rooms downstairs would have been ideal. "We stayed at Crackin View for a long weekend just before Christmas for our annual family Christmas holiday. Ages ranging from 5 - 65 with quite a few teenagers. The house was perfect for what we needed. Plently of room and commual areas for our large family, the living room was a great layout for playing family games. "The railway carriage was a lovely place for my dog and I to call home while we visited friends in Newcastle. Great walks on the doorstep and Newcastle is deceptively easy to get to.We visited the Column to Liberty at Gibside today that we could see from our window. Very well equipped for such a cosy space and the treats were much appreciated. Thank you "

"We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. We enjoyed both the local pub and also a takeaway from the nearby pub. Both we would recommend. Cannot wait to come for a return visit . Thanks again!"

"Good communication and ease of booking. Very easy to find. Parking not to difficult although not outside (as listing says). Great location with just a short walk into town. Heating good and needed in January. Loads of hot water for the group and good showers. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Would recommend. Only negative bathrooms not cleaned from previous booking."

"Lovely property but needs a little TLC. For instance curtain in lounge half hanging off, no lock for front bathroom door, loads of lightbulbs not working, video game not working holes in wall in bathroom and one of the bedrooms. Having said this the beds were comfortable, lots of space for 10 people and hot tub a great bonus. Nothing to spoil the holiday but just a few niggles."
