"HOSHINOYA met our high expectations - but many of the notes from other reviewers rang true. Overall we really enjoyed it and would recommend. 1. We stayed 3 nights. Even if you have the budget, wouldn't recommend staying much longer than that as some of the rituals get a bit tired after a couple days (such as taking off shoes when entering). 2. "This was a very authentic Japanese Ryokan experience. The lady running the place was so thoughtful and informative it made our stay very special. A beautiful old fashioned guesthouse, with warm hospitality."

"Excellent location and very clean accommodations. This ryokan is just around the corner from the famous bell tower, beautiful warehouse (shopping) area and candy alley. The bath is not in your room, but you reserve your time, so it’s private. The breakfast was extraordinary!"

"This property was awesome! My biggest destination was Disney Tokyo parks - my commute to the park was easy and quickplus going home was so easy as Shiomi was not where the locals were exiting at, after a long day this was convenient. To get to the major tourist destinations was also very easy being next to the Shiomi station. Only drawback I had was not finding many food options arriving back home anywhere from 8-11pm. Hotel is awesome, wish there were more local dining options. "

"This hotel is very clean and quiet. Even with all the noise of the area, our room was almost silent. Shinjuku can be overwhelming to some with the volume of people and night life, but the area felt safe. There is a 7-11 on the ground floor and lots of other places to grab food and drinks on the area. About a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station."

"Convenient location, amazing view from our 20th floor window and comfortable bed. Check in and out process all automated and easy and fresh towels daily. Stayed 4 nights and even though the room was small there was plenty of space to hang/store stuff"
