"Conveniently located within walking distance from JR Wakayama and in front of the bus station, hotel is well situated for travelling to other parts of Wakayama or within the city. Hotel is pretty old and rooms are small sized. Bathroom is pretty compact which is typical of Japanese hotels. Do not get a room near the lift as walls are thin and can hear the lift moving up and down. Rooms are actually quite dusty as there were visible dust balls on the tea packets. "Really lovely ryokan and onsen with beautiful ocean views. The futons were very comfortable, as well. It's a little outside of Wakayama city (about 30 minutes/¥3500 by taxi), but there is a nearby bus and they have a parking area if you are driving. The staff speaks a little English, but don't expect the same level of English that you might get at a larger, urban hotel. Overall, it was very relaxing and I would definitely recommend it."

"Amazing hotel with an even better view. I had a superb view of Wakayama’s castle straight from my hotel room. Of course the staff were nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is brilliant although it is about a 15-20 minute walk to one of the two close by train stations. I would strongly recommend this hotel for the view! "
