"Great location by the Canal du Midi, which has a cycle route alongside. We cycled in both directions, and another day took the bikes by car to cycle further away. "We had a wonderful stay here, the place is centrally located amongst the vineyards. The settings is private and well appointed. We laid out at night on the loungers watching the stars. As it is located in the countryside the night sky was an amazing display of bright stars. Easy drive to Carcassonne or the Mediterranean. The town of la liviniare is close 5min drive with two restaurants. The host was welcoming and helpful on things to do in the region. We enjoyed our stay and would come again."

"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"We had a lovely stay at Montbrun des Corbieres. The village is very quaint, no shops or boulangerie, but a very good bread vending machine once you got the hang of it.! Great location for touring the Languedoc-Roussillon region, within 1.15 hours drive of Perpignan, Montpelier, Toulouse etc. 25 mins from Carcassonne and Narbonne. Canal du Midi 15 mins. "This property though simple was an excellent value. Rooms were clean. Parking was plentiful. Included breakfast was very good. Easy walk to the fortress. The only downside was the laundry. With only one machine with a very small drum and many long-term residents, I would not count on the machine's availability. "The apartment was spacious. 1 bedroom, and sofa bed in living/kitchen area. Very clean and great air-conditioning. Kitchen/cooking area was basic but adequate for a short stay. "El hotel es perfecto, muy lindo por afuera y la habitacion que nos tocó era muy linda y una decoración espetacular. La unica cosa que no nos gustó fue la comida de la cena en el restaurantedel hotel. Todo era calentado en potes de vidrio y del microondas directo para la mesa. Como si todo era congelado en potes de vidrio con tapas y despues calentado en el mismo recipiente "

"Nice quant hotel within an easy walk to walled medieval city that offers many dining options as does the area outside of the walled city. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It's clean and well maintained with a nice indoor and outside eating area. Rooms were on the smaller side which is typical for older properties in Europe. Definitely would stay here again."
