"We stayed 11 nights at the gite. Great for exploring the area around Carcassonne, Albi, Narbonne, etc. Beautiful surroundings, extremely quiet (a must for me) with a nice pool and friendly horses who will occasionally visit you over the fence (carrots are appreciated). The hosts are very pleasant and helpful. The nearest grocery store is about 20 mn away so you do need to plan a bit."

"House was beautifully well equipped, immaculately clean and tidy. It’s in an excellent location only 15 minutes from Carcassonne but with absolute peace and quiet. Local pool in the Village was great in the heat. The local butcher carries bread, pastries, preserves and lovely wine, not forgetting meat. Laurence was wonderful with ideas of where to visit, and was available for anything we needed but otherwise very discreet."

"Great location by the Canal du Midi, which has a cycle route alongside. We cycled in both directions, and another day took the bikes by car to cycle further away. Also good access to Carcassonne and supermarkets by car. Comfortable gite, looks just like the photos. Enough kitchen equipment and a three-ring induction hob for eating in. "A comfortable, well presented property with lovely views of the Canal du Midi. It is ideally located for visits to Carcassonne, Cabrespine cave, lovely old French villages and wine tasting. Unfortunately, there was a strong wind during our stay so barbeques were not possible, however, the kitchen was well equipped to cook inside. Ann-Marie and Adrian were knowledgeable and kind hosts. We warmly recommend this property."

Qun est très attentionnée envers ses locataires : Nous avons été accueillis avec des légumes et fruits du jardin ainsi qu’avec une bouteille de vin ! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"We had a wonderful stay here, the place is centrally located amongst the vineyards. The settings is private and well appointed. We laid out at night on the loungers watching the stars. As it is located in the countryside the night sky was an amazing display of bright stars. Easy drive to Carcassonne or the Mediterranean. The town of la liviniare is close 5min drive with two restaurants. The host was welcoming and helpful on things to do in the region. We enjoyed our stay and would come again."

"We had a wonderful stay at Monica and Malcom's. We enjoyed long walks in the surrounding countryside and the fully enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The highlight was visiting the pop up bar/restaurant they host on Fridays in the village. The gite is very private but with the benefit of Monika and Malcolm being close by if you need help with anything. Would definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay in the countryside."

"We had a lovely stay at Montbrun des Corbieres. The village is very quaint, no shops or boulangerie, but a very good bread vending machine once you got the hang of it.! Great location for touring the Languedoc-Roussillon region, within 1.15 hours drive of Perpignan, Montpelier, Toulouse etc. 25 mins from Carcassonne and Narbonne. Canal du Midi 15 mins. Check out La Redorte for great canal side restaurant. Beware most restaurants in the area close at 2pm and re open at 7pm. So if you are eating...
