"This was a great location to explore Madrid. We slept well. Make sure to read keyless entry instructions as there is no one in person to great you. The first room was not ready but when I messaged they quickly switched us to a clean room. Easy access to train and airport."

"This was not where we stayed, 3 days before we were due to travel to Madrid, we were contacted and informed that due to an electrical fault, the accommodation was not available, and offered an alternative at no extra cost, did we agree (a bit late to start searching again). We were told reception was open until 6pm, but still had to self-check in even though we were there before 6pm. "This property is located within 4 minutes walk from Gran Via station. It is super clean, the building is gorgeous and it has a lot of architecture charm and character. "This has been one of the best city hotels we have stayed at. We received a room upgrade to a suite as part of the VIP perk, which made our stay even more fabulous. "I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Madrid! It's a short walk away from a lot of sights, easy to hail a cab outside (even with the sidewalk construction). We opted for the balcony room but looking back on it, wouldn't mind an inside room to cut down on traffic noise in the morning. Atocha is very busy at all hours of the day and with that comes basic traffic noise, (honking, etc). We stayed here at the beginning and end of our trip in Spain and we left some items the first night. I wasn't hopeful that they would have hung on to them, but sure enough, I emailed the hotel and they had my items! Very appreciative and thankful for that. All the hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would most definitely say here again! "
