"For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. In addition, the traffic and people talking outside the window sometimes until 1am, made it difficult to sleep. I had to wear ear plugs to fall...

"This is a beautiful property, but you do need to be able to walk up steep roads. It was so clean and it had everything you would need. The bathroom was really nicely done with lovely tile. The best part was the deck out front overlooking the water. An interesting old building."

"The neighborhood was a real Italian neighborhood and not a tourist neighborhood of tiny, twisty streets and passageways. It was a bit loud all day and night with people talking very loudly. We closed the windows and used the A/C at night and it was quiet and we slept well. Our hosts communicated well and were very responsive to our requests."

"Pros: (1) clean property, (2)a/c takes time to kick in but works (essential for summer), (3) communication with property manager via *WhatsApp* with mostly prompt responses, (4) helpful family managing the property, (5) peaceful stay. Cons: (1) the property is on a hill - you have to take at least two flights of stairs (not in the pictures) outside the house to get to the entrance, and then there is a colorful long flight of stairs inside the house (in the pictures). So be prepared if traveling...

"We quite enjoyed our stay at Donato's flat in Salerno. It's located right on the edge of the historic district, an easy walk to everything. The sea walk is close by, as are the cathedral and Minerva's Garden. There are many many restaurants nearby. Communication with Donato and his son, Roberto, was excellent. Roberto met us at the train station and took us directly to the flat. Now, there are some 76 stairs--we counted--to get to the fourth floor, and no elevator. It was no issue for us--part...
